| Pledge Membership |
This is the first year of our Pledge Membership. Your donation will cover the PTA membership fee. There will be no sales fundraisers this year. 100% of your tax deductible donation goes directly to programs and activities to benefit our students and teachers. |

Playground Fund
|
Our big Fundraiser this year is to raise $70,000 to install and enlarge the large playground area. I know, you’re saying, Wow, $70,000, but if you break it down, it is only about $60 per child enrolled at Colin Powell. Now we understand $60 may be too much for some but others can give more. And, you may be asking yourself “Why are they wanting to do this?” When the playground was constructed, it was for a school population of around 550 children, this year we have almost double that many students. So, now you know why we want to raise these funds so we can make the playing area better for our children. So far from our back to school nights, open house and new parent orientation we’ve raised ~$15,609. We are approaching our goal but with everyone’s help, we can achieve this. So, if you have given we’d like to say THANK YOU and if you haven’t, you can do so any time by sending a check to school made out to CPES PTA-Playground Fund and place it in an envelope marked PTA Playground Fund.

Great Lakes Scrips Gift Card Sales
|
You can do your Christmas/Holiday shopping done early this year. WE will be selling gift cards and the PTA earns money from each sale. Depending on the retailer that amount varies from 5%-20%. Or you can use it to buy gift cards you know you would spend money at certain retailers anyway so why not buy the gift cards from us and the PTA earns a profit at the same time. All of the profits we make on this fundraiser will go towards the Playground Fund. Keep an eye out for a flyer to be coming home in the Tuesday folders towards the end of Oct.

Carnival Silent Auction/Class Baskets
|
The actual Carnival itself is not intended as a fundraiser itself but portions of the day are. The Silent Auction and Class Baskets are the fundraisers for the day.

Box Tops
|
We all shop for groceries, sometimes two or three times a week or more. Now turn those shopping trip into easy cash for our school, and encourage friends to do the same! Just look for the Box Tops logo on hundreds of products like Cheerios, Hamburger Helper and Kleenex, in almost every aisle of the store. All you need to do is clip and send them to your school's Box Tops coordinator - each one is worth 10¢ for our school.

Labels for Education
|

Puma Pounce
|
The annual CPES Puma Pounce 5K and a 1 mile Fun Run will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 so mark your calendars! The race will take place around the school. | Giant Bonus Bucks |
This program is sponsored by Giant Food stores. After you register your Giant savings card online and provide Giant our school ID#, a portion of every dollar you spend will go to our school. The school uses this money to buy much needed student supplies. |
