Ellen Park
Ellen is a dedicated and proactive leader, serving as the President of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA). With a passion for fostering strong parent-teacher collaboration, Ellen drives initiatives that enrich the educational experience and strengthen the school community. She is a nurturing mother of two dancing stars, a 3rd grader and a 7th grade middle-schooler.

Mary Kim
A true Fairfax County native, Mary's roots are firmly planted in the community. She has two sons attending Colin Powell Elementary, a first grader in the Korean Immersion Program and a 3rd grader in the AAP program. Beyond her passions for reading and travel, Mary's role as the PTA Secretary adeptly combines her organizational prowess and community spirit, ensuring seamless communication and effective coordination among parents, teachers, and staff.

Jennifer Balaam
Jenn brings financial expertise and commitment to her role as PTA Treasurer, ensuring responsible management of resources and transparent financial practices. Her dedication to optimizing funding for educational initiatives showcases her invaluable contribution to the school community. She has two sons in the Korean Immersion program at Colin Powell in Kindergarten and 2nd grade.
VP, Ways and Means
Hemanalini Keshava
Ms. Keshava is a dynamic and compassionate educator, inspiring young minds as the 3rd grade teacher in the Advanced Academic Program (AAP) who goes above and beyond in both the classroom and the school community. Her commitment extends to leading the fundraising for the PTA as the Vice President of Ways and Means, where she seamlessly blends her educational expertise with strategic leadership. She is a mother to a Kindergartener at Colin Powell.

Hana kim
Hana Kim is dedicated to bringing the best programs for our Powell Pumas. A proud mother of a 3rd grade son enrolled in the Korean Immersion program, her interests include fantasy literature, culinary exploration, and creative Pinterest projects. Her vision is to seamlessly unite Puma families with the school and wider community through a spectrum of engaging activities and programs.
